That said, VMware Tools can be updated out-of-band also since the installers are available for download outside of a full vSphere install. Each version of vSphere comes with a newer version of VMware Tools for VMs. VM Tools is a vSphere Host thing, not a vCenter Server thing. Please message the moderators and we'll pull it back in.
